1. Triostar

Botanical Name: Stromanthe sanguinea ‘Triostar’

Triostar features glossy green leaves with stripes of cream and pink hues. This easy-to-care variety doesn’t have variegation like other types of Stromanthe.

2. Magic Star

Botanical Name: Stromanthe sanguinea ‘Magic Star’

The long and narrow green leaves have glossy white-cream variegation scattered over the foliage. Its undersides contrast well in ruby red.

3. Tricolor

Botanical Name: Stromanthe Sanguinea ‘Tricolor’

This beautiful variegated cultivar showcases exceptionally charming leaves in the shades of pink, cream, and green. It prefers bright, filtered light.

4. Sanguinea

Botanical Name: Stromanthe sanguinea

This variety comes without any hint of variegation. It features glossy green and dark leaves with a light green midrib. The plant is also much easier to care for.

5. Charlie

Botanical Name: Stromanthe stromatoides “Charlie”

‘Charlie’ is quite a rare variety and features strongly variegated, oblong, and medium green foliage. It gets green and white streaks in various magnitudes from needle-thin to wide over the entire leaf.

  • I have my triostar in a south facing window, mist every day, and water when the top inch feels dry and she is HAPPY as a clam. I have 3 and every one of them is different though. My other triostars HATE the south window and prefer the west window about 8 feet away from the window. Lol. They are picky!!
