How to Make an Easy DIY Seashell Planter

Required Materials:

  • Seashells
  • Glazing Putty
  • Spray Paint
  • Pot
  • Plant
  • Soil
  • A Small Plastic Pot

Procedure

1. Giving it a Shape

Cover a small plastic pot with a thick layer of glazing putty, including the rim and the base. Make sure to give it a smooth finish and clear off any bumps.

2. Spray Paint

Once you’ve covered the putty on the pot, start to spray paint it in the color of your choice. You can also mix some acrylic paint in the glazing putty before sticking it on the pot to give it a natural color.

3. Stick Sea Shells

Now, randomly secure the seashells by merely pressing them against the glazing putty and let it dry for a day.

4. Add Soil and Plants

Add the plants of your choice and spread the right amount of soil in the pot. You can grow succulents, herbs, cacti, or any plant that fits into the planter. Lastly, finish it off by putting some pebbles onto the soil!

5. Ready to Display!

This is how your DIY Seashell planter should look once complete. It’s a great idea to try on pots that you may wish to install indoors. They have a great aesthetic appeal, which can greatly enhance your home decor!
